About the Artist

Jocelyn Bergen has been making limited-edition book art for over twenty years. She loves folded paper structures, and small books that can fit in your pocket. With BAs in English and Fine Art from UC Berkeley, Ms Bergen has worked as a graphic designer and production artist, digital typographer, and website and interaction designer, all of which have informed her often digitally produced yet hand-made multiples.

Ever fascinated by narrative structures and book forms, various Bay Area book arts classes led her to associations with the Pacific Center for the Book Arts, and the San Francisco Center for the Book, where she has taught workshops such as “The Magic of Multiples,” “Glorious Greetings,” and “Minibook Mysteries.”

Jocelyn has since relocated to Kingston, NY in the mid-Hudson Valley area where she is setting up a new studio to teach workshops and host arts gatherings.
